Hot Peri Peri Spice Mix


This hot peri peri spice mix is a blend of lemon and chili flavours. It has a nice kick from the chili but also has a great flavour.


3 tsp. chili flakes
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. ground cayenne pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. dried lemon peel
1 tsp. sea salt crystals
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. cardamom
½ powdered sugar
½ ground ginger

Note – this recipe is really versatile so if required you can adjust the spice quantities to suit your needs.

Assemble and combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients well to ensure that they are evenly mixed. If you prefer a finer powder just put the mix into a spice grinder.

Store in an airtight container.

This mix can be used on just about anything! It’s great with fish, shellfish, grilled meats, chicken, potatoes and even popcorn; the possibilities are endless.
